Miss Parmar — Consultant Ophthalmologist (Specialist in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus) Miss Parmar is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 20 years of specialist experience in  children’s eye health and strabismus (eye movement disorders). She completed her medical training at  King’s College London  and began her ophthalmology career at  Moorfields Eye Hospital, one of the world’s leading centres for eye care. Her specialist interest in children’s vision developed through advanced training and fellowships at Great Ormond Street Hospital  and  Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge , where she worked alongside some of the UK’s leading paediatric eye specialists. Miss Parmar is known for her  warm, thoughtful, and patient-centred approach, taking time to understand each child’s individual needs and to reassure families throughout their care. Her expertise covers the full range of children’s eye conditions — including squints, lazy eye (amblyopia), and complex eye movement problems — as well as general ophthalmology for adults. Alongside her clinical work, Miss Parmar is a respected medical leader. As an  Associate Medical Director, she has helped shape improvements in patient safety and clinical governance, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is also passionate about education, serving as a  College Tutor and National trainer  for over two decades, and held a teaching role at Buckingham Medical School.
