Mr Andy Roche

Andy is a Foot and Ankle Surgeon in London, UK.  His work encompasses a range of specialist foot and ankle conditions. As a keen, lifelong athlete competing in sports from a young age in rugby and gaelic football to windsurfing, sailing, golf and mountain bike/road cycling, Andy continues to stay active with a passion for sport and has developed a keen interest and skill base in foot and ankle sports injuries.  He began his Foot and Ankle training with excellent teachers in Durham and Merseyside following medical qualification at the University of Liverpool. Driven on from this early training he completed his Masters in Trauma Surgery and senior specialist surgical training in Bristol, London and Denver, USA. As a substantive Consultant Andy has a national and international referral base and has honed his passion and interest in foot and ankle surgery working with athletes at all ability levels from occasional athletes to national and professional athletes. He also consults on and treats many other foot and ankle conditions including forefoot problems such as bunions, general foot and ankle conditions like arthritis, tendon and ligament problems, deformity correction and post-traumatic problems. Andy continues to challenge himself and learn through communications with peers and colleagues but also to assist in the learning experiences of other surgeons and clinicians to develop their own unique skills in Orthopaedic Surgery. He lectures and teaches in foot and ankle surgery both in the UK and abroad.  He practices evidence based surgery and patient care. He subscribes to and reads peer-reviewed journals and engages with and continues to keep involved in clinical research through participation in learned societies such as BOFAS, ESSKA and AFAS.
