Our Consultant Specialists are supported by a team of caring and professional medical staff, with highly-trained nursing teams and a Resident Medical Officer on duty 24 hours a day, providing care within a friendly and comfortable environment. Three Shires Hospital offers patients fast and easy access to treatment for over 33 different specialities and we currently have over 139 Consultants who choose to practice here. Our facilities, combined with modern technology and on-site support services, enable our consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery. Our on-site Imaging facilities include: • 2 digital x-ray rooms • MRI scanning including dynamic and contrast MRI examinations • CT scanning available 2 days a week • Ultrasound - Diagnostic and Interventional • Fluoroscopy Three Shires Hospital has 35 beds and all rooms offer the privacy and comfort of en-suite facilities, satellite TV and telephone. The hospital has four theatres as well as a minor operations suite for minor procedures that take place in outpatients. Our Macmillan accredited oncology suite provides patients with a relaxed, bright and comfortable environment in which to receive their cancer treatment. Our compassionate team of specialist oncology nurses appreciate how challenging cancer treatment can be for patients and their families, so they will always warmly welcome family into the department, and they provide a 24 hour support line for out of hours care and support.
