Mr Venugopal Guduri

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon with extensive experience in managing a broad range of foot and ankle conditions. Since 2019, I have been practising exclusively as a foot and ankle specialist, following fellowship training through BOFAS, and I am currently based at Walsall Manor Hospital while also practising at Spire Little Aston Hospital. My orthopaedic training provided me with a solid foundation in trauma and elective orthopaedic care, which was further refined through two specialist fellowships at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham and King’s College Hospital in London. These experiences enabled me to develop advanced expertise in both surgical and minimally invasive procedures for conditions such as Achilles tendon disorders, foot and ankle arthritis, plantar fasciitis, Morton’s neuroma, Diabetic foot problems, sports injuries, sprains, fractures, and complex toe deformities.Academically, I hold an MBBS from NTR University of Health Sciences in India, where I also completed my MS in Trauma and Orthopaedics. I went on to achieve my MRCS through the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow and my FRCS through the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I maintain active membership with several professional organisations, including the Medical Defence Union (MDU), the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS), and the British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS).

With a dedicated focus on advanced foot and ankle care, I specialise in minimally invasive (MIS) bunion surgeries, ankle and subtalar arthroscopy, and a wide range of reconstructive procedures for the forefoot, midfoot, and hindfoot. My approach combines innovative techniques with compassionate care to help patients get back on their feet: pain-free and active. Whether a patient is dealing with bunions, ingrown toenails, or persistent foot pain, I offer tailored solutions including gentle treatments and targeted steroid injections for lasting relief. Beyond my clinical work, I am passionate about shaping the future of orthopaedic care. As Education Lead at Walsall Manor Hospital, I mentor and train the next generation of surgeons, ensuring high standards of patient care. I am also committed to research and consistently use patient feedback (PROMs) to refine treatments and deliver truly patient-centred outcomes. Patient comfort, mobility, and well-being are at the heart of everything I do.
