Miss Varajini Joganathan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at University Hospital Southampton and Lymington New Forest Hospital, specialising in eyelid, lacrimal (tear duct), orbital (eye socket) surgery, in children and adults. She offers private consultation and surgery in Hampshire and Dorset.   Miss Joganathan undertook her ophthalmic specialty training in Cambridge Deanery followed by higher fellowship training at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, The Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, UK, before commencing her consultant position with the Southampton University Hospital NHS Trust in 2019.   Miss Joganathan has published in major international, peer-reviewed journals and has presented internationally and nationally on areas of her subspecialty interest.   She regularly reviews academic and research articles for the leading journals in oculoplastic surgery and has been an invited speaker at international and national conferences.   Miss Joganathan is also involved in supervision of ophthalmology specialist trainees and postgraduate fellows, both locally and nationally, and has facilitated in the running of national courses for doctors and allied healthcare professionals.
