Ms Tina Rashid

Miss Rashid graduated from University College London Medical School in 2004. She completed her postgraduate training as a Urologist on the North West Thames Rotation, which included London University hospitals such as Charing Cross Hospital and University College London Hospital. She undertook a competitive BAUS-approved fellowship in female urology at University Hospitals of Leicester and was awarded a fellowship at a European centre of excellence in functional and reconstructive urology in Belgium, Leuven University Hospital. She was appointed as a Consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in 2014, to develop the female, functional and reconstructive urology unit and led the Gender Team there until she chose to leave in 2021. She is an investigator for multiple NIHR trials and has a special interest in functional outcomes following feminising genital reconstructive surgery.   She was heavily involved in training future urologists, with roles as the Lead for delivery of teaching to London Higher Urology Trainees for 3 years followed by being the Training Programme Director for Urology across North West Thames (London) from 2018 to 2021. She is an investigator for multiple NIHR trials and has a special interest in functional outcomes following feminising genital reconstructive surgery. She leads a small research team, the Gender Research Collaborative, who have an interest in translational research. Outside of work, she is married to her University sweetheart and has 2 beautiful, active children!
