GMC reg: 6166650Ms. Tina Parmar is a highly qualified and experienced consultant ophthalmologist who is based at the Aneurin Bevan Health Board and at St. Joseph's Hospital. She holds a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Birmingham, which she obtained in 2008, and went on to teach medical and dental students at the same institution. Ms. Parmar began her journey in the field of ophthalmology as a junior glaucoma fellow at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre and later completed her registrar training at the Wales Deanery. This training helped her attain her Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and she went on to further specialise in lids, lacrimal and orbital surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and the Leicester Royal Infirmary. Her passion for education has also earned her an MSc in Functional and Clinical Anatomy from the University of Birmingham, as well as a certificate in teaching in higher education. Ms. Parmar is deeply committed to her field and holds the position of examinations lead for Wales. Her work has been recognised through various publications in journals and book chapters, and she has also presented at international meetings. In her free time, Ms. Parmar enjoys a balanced lifestyle that includes regular visits to the gym and playing badminton, as well as indulging in her love for cooking, travelling, and crafting.
