Mr Tim Biggs

Mr Tim Biggs is a Consultant Rhinologist and Facial Plastic Surgeon at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, where he specialises in conditions of the nose and sinuses. Privately, he practises at Medicana Winchester, where he sees patients with all ENT conditions, and at the Adnova Clinic in Hampshire, where he provides functional and cosmetic nasal surgery, including advanced rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty. He has extensive experience in functional and cosmetic nasal surgery as well as all forms of sinus surgery. His areas of expertise include septorhinoplasty, rhinoplasty, septoplasty, sinus surgery, turbinoplasty, frontal sinus surgery, orbital decompression, nasal breathing issues, post-nasal drip, allergy, and sinonasal cancer. He also provides surgery for nasal polyps, chronic rhinosinusitis, and structural abnormalities of the nose. Mr Biggs runs a dedicated rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty practice within both the NHS and private sector. He regularly performs advanced rhinoplasty techniques including dorsal preservation, piezo (ultrasonic) rhinoplasty, structural rhinoplasty, and donor rib or fascia lata grafting for revision cases. He undertakes open and closed approaches and is experienced in primary and secondary rhinoplasty. He qualified in medicine from Cardiff University and initially served as a British Army Medical Officer. After completing basic surgical training, he was awarded a National Institute for Health Research Academic Training Pathway in ENT. He gained higher surgical training in the Wessex Deanery, specialising in rhinology and facial plastics, and completed a PhD in Rhinology. He subsequently undertook the British Rhinology Society Advanced Rhinology Fellowship and an additional fellowship in Advanced Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery. Mr Biggs has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles, delivered more than 30 national and international presentations, and has been awarded over 25 prizes and fellowships. He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Otolaryngology (ENT) and is a member of ENT-UK, the British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery, and the British Society of Rhinoplasty Surgeons. He is Board Certified as a Cosmetic Nasal Surgeon through the Royal College of Surgeons accreditation programme.

General ENT, nasal blockage, sinusitis, nasal discharge, post nasal drip, sinus surgery, advanced sinus disease with FESS (incl. image-guided and revision), frontal sinus surgery (Draf I-III), polypectomy, fungal sinusitis, sinonasal tumour resection, and orbital decompression. I also perform endoscopic septal surgery, epistaxis control (SPA/anterior ethmoid ligation), and diagnostic nasal endoscopy/biopsy. I offer non-surgical treatments for nasal allergy, smell loss, and vasomotor rhinitis (Clarifix). I regularly perform functional and cosmetic Rhinoplasty & Septorhinoplasty, including dorsal preservation, Piezo, structural, and complex revision rhinoplasty using rib grafts and fascia lata.
