Dr Thomas Kaier

Dr. Thomas Kaier is a highly skilled consultant interventional cardiologist with expertise in complex coronary interventions and a broad range of heart conditions, including chest pain, palpitations, dyslipidaemia, heart failure, and valvular disease. After earning his medical degree from the Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria, he trained in cardiology in London, with fellowships at Barts Heart Centre and St Thomas' Hospital. In 2015, he earned a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship, leading to a PhD in Cardiovascular Medical Research from King’s College London, where his research on ischemic heart disease earned him numerous awards. Dr. Kaier’s clinical work focuses on advanced stenting techniques for chronic total occlusions, treating patients with complex coronary conditions at Royal Papworth Hospital. With a distinguished academic and clinical career, he combines cutting-edge research with a patient-centered approach to heart care.
