Dr Tapesh Pakrashi

Dr Tapesh Pakrashi is a Consultant Cardiologist with over 10 years’ experience helping people with heart problems. He studied medicine at Oxford University and trained at leading hospitals in Newcastle, Leeds, Cambridge and London, including the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. Since 2012, Dr Pakrashi has been the Heart Failure Lead at Kingston Hospital, where he set up and developed the specialist Heart Failure Service. He has also helped to create local community cardiology services in Kingston and East Elmbridge, so patients can access care closer to home. He looks after adults with a wide range of heart conditions, including: Heart failure Valve problems Coronary artery disease (angina and heart attacks) Heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias) High blood pressure (hypertension) Dr Pakrashi also has expertise in cardiac imaging, which helps diagnose and guide treatment for heart conditions. Alongside his clinical work, he is actively involved in teaching medical students and training junior doctors. He is also an examiner for the MRCP (UK) examination, which is an important qualification for doctors specialising in medicine.
