I have been a Consultant Gastroenterologist for over 15 years with a busy NHS practice in Nottingham University Hospitals. I have extensive experience in managing a wide range of luminal gastrointestinal problems and an expert in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel diseases. I trained in some of the top institutions like Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA and Osaka International Cancer Institute, Japan. I consult in all aspects of general gastroenterology (excluding liver issues) including bowel issues, IBS, indigestion, inflammatory bowel conditions like colitis and Crohn's disease and endoscopic procedures like colonoscopy. I have performed well over 3,000 gastroscopies and 4,000 colonoscopies in my NHS practice including therapeutic procedures like polypectomy and dye spray colonoscopies. I provide a large tertiary IBD clinical service in my current NHS role. I am an active researcher with several ongoing clinical research studies in IBD. I have published widely on inflammatory bowel diseases in various high impact journals.
