Mr Sundara vasant Raman

I have been trained extensively in my speciality of ophthalmology spanning three continents, India ,Republic of Ireland, United states of America and the united Kingdom. My subspeciality training in medical and surgical diseases of retina was undertaken at the Henry Ford hospital in Detroit, USA. Outside my clinical work, I like classical music, travelling and playing Badminton.

Besides my clinical work, I am active in undergraduate and post graduate medical education. I am also examiner in Ophthalmology for the Royal college of Surgeons and physicians if Glasgow. I was the chief examiner in ophthalmology for 6 years, and currently I have been appointed as the Director of education for the same body. I am also engaged in clinical research, and I am the local principal investigator for national and multicentre clinical studies. I have more than 30 publications in peer reviewed journals. I have contributed chapters in medical text book, and was the section editor for a textbook in ophthalmology for the UK medical licensing exam. I like to undertake international charity work, and I have offered my surgical expertise in India, Nepal and Cambodia.
