Mr Sumit Kumar Sood

Mr Sumit Sood is a practising Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at the University hospitals of Coventry. He offers to treat majority of General Surgical and Colorectal conditions. He has a keen interest in all types of abdominal wall hernias, perianal procedures, Endoscopy (colonoscopy & flexible sigmoidoscopy), Minimally Invasive Surgery and Colorectal Cancer.He has graduated from the prestigious University of Kolkata in India in the year 1997 and completed his Masters in General Surgery in 2003. He has been awarded MPhil from the University of Sheffield and completed his FRCS General Surgery with Colorectal interest. His priority has always been excellent patient care and involving them in decision making to constructing a patient-specific tailored plan. He is keen on patient safety and leads the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (QIPS) for both General and Colorectal Surgery at the University hospital. He also trains junior doctors and is an examiner at the University of Warwickshire.
