Mr Sudarshan Munigangaiah

Born and raised in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, Mr Sudarshan Munigangaiah completed schooling in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Doddaballapur, Bangalore, before graduating from medical school at  Rajiv Gandhi University of Medical Sciences , Bangalore. Following these earlier studies, Mr Munigangaiah then proceeded to complete basic surgical training, Trauma and Orthopaedic training from Republic of Ireland, before also acquiring two prestigious fellowships including EuroSpine accredited  European Spine Diploma fellowship  at  Galway University Hospitals , Ireland and  Combined Paediatric and Adult post CCT spine fellowship  at  The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital , Oswestry and  Alder Hey Children’s Hospital , Liverpool since 2016. Both are university affiliated tertiary referral centres for spine care in the UK. Our private practice is based at Ludlow wing, RJAH Oswestry, UK.

Mr Munigangaiah’s practice focuses on both adult and paediatric spinal disorders including, degenerative, deformities, tumours, trauma, and infections of the spine. Currently fellowship director at both  RJAH , Oswestry and  Alder Hey children’s hospital , Liverpool. Mr Munigangaiah is also a member of prestigious societies such as the  British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS), Euro Spine, Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), AO Spine , and executive board member of the  British Scoliosis Society (BSS) . Mr Munigangaiah’s research interests include, cervical myelopathy, spinal metastatic disease, early onset scoliosis, adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, degenerative deformity of spine – all of which feeds into the plethora of knowledge and experience that drives the practice.
