I was appointed a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in 2017 and am an expert in cataract and lens surgery. As cataract surgery is my sole primary surgical focus, a large portion of my practice involves operating on some of the most complex and challenging cases presenting to York Teaching Hospital. I have received subspecialty training in corneal, external eye disease and refractive surgery in one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe (St James' University Teaching Hospital, Leeds, UK).  I hold the sought after CertLRS qualification (Certificate in Laser and Refractive Surgery, awarded by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, 2017), an addiitonal qualification demonstrating my expertise in operating on patients whom have undergone previous laser refractive surgery or those whom would like a degree of spectacle independence following cataract surgery.
