GMC reg: 4741286Current Posts Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Subspecialist Urogynaecologist, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust Visiting Professor, University of Athens, Medical School Training and Experience I studied medicine at the University of Athens - Medical School and qualified as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in 1995. In 2004, I was awarded a PhD in Surgical Research. I trained in obstetrics and gynaecology in the UK. Following the completion of subspecialty training in Urogynaecology, I was awarded an Ethicon Travel Award by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and worked as a visiting Scholar in the University of Michigan, where I participated in research projects with the Pelvic Floor Research Group. I am currently a member of several national and international scientific and professional committees, working groups and societies and I regularly participate as an invited speaker or chairman in several national and international conferences. I have published over 80 peer-reviewed articles, edited or co-edited 3 books and authored over 30 book chapters.

My clinical interests range from General Gynaecology to Urogynaecology - Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Urogynaecology: Urinary urgency, frequency, urinary urgency incontinence (overactive bladder) Stress urinary incontinence Voiding dysfunction Recurrent cystitis Painful bladder syndrome Pelvic organ prolapse (cystocele, rectocele, uterine / vault prolapse, primary and recurrent) Defaecatory difficulty, anal incontinence General gynaecology: Hysteroscopy Treatment of labial / Bartholin's cysts Hysterectomy Ovarian cystectomy (removal of ovarian cysts) Pelvic pain Period problems - heavy, irregular or painful periods Enlarged or asymmetric labia Polycystic ovaries Ovarian and other cysts Early pregnancy problems Contraception Pre-menstrual syndrome
