GMC reg: 6028502Stephen Walsh BDS FDSRCS(Eng) MBBS(Hons) MRCSEd FRCSEd(OMFS) MEd(Surg Ed) DIC FFSTEd. Mr Walsh is a fully accredited Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Royal Surrey County NHS Foundation Trust - having previously been a consultant at St Richards Hospital Chichester and Worthing Hospital for 13 years as well as the Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital.He specialises in surgery of the face, mouth and head and neck and the management of the many conditions that may affect patients in these areas and is on the General Medical Councils Specialist List for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (6028502) as well as being fully registered with the General Dental Council (68500) and on the specialist list for Oral Surgery. Mr Walsh trained in Dentistry at Guy's Hospital London and worked in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine and Immunology and Maxillofacial Surgery posts before studying Medicine at GKT Medical School and qualifying with Honours. His postgraduate training in General Medicine was at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford and his Surgical training (general, vascular & orthopaedics) and accident and emergency training was at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey. Stephens higher specialist training in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery was at St Georges Hospital, London, the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, and the Royal Surrey County Hospital Guildford. He also undertook a training period by completing a Fellowship in Cosmetic Reconstructive Surgery and completed his Masters Degree in Surgical Education. He holds the Fellowship Diploma in Dental Surgery FDSRCS(Eng) from the Royal College of Surgeons England and the Fellowship Diploma in Surgery (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery FRCSEd(OMFS) from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. He is the current Chairman of the Education subcommittee of BAOMS, a question writer for the FRCS OMFS exit examination, an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland FFD exam. Stephen is a reviewer for the British Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is a qualified educational supervisor. He also represents the consultant body on the Medical Advisory Committee of the Nuffield Hospital Chichester.
