Dr Shibani Nicum

Dr Shibani Nicum is an Associate Professor of Medical Oncology and Consultant Medical Oncologist at University College London, specialising in the treatment of women with gynaecological cancers. She is also the Chair of Gynae-oncology Trials Group UK (formally the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Gynaecological Group) and Lead for Gynaecological Trials at the Cancer Research UK and UCL Cancer Trials Centre. Her research interests are in BRCA mutated cancers and the development of novel therapies to improve outcomes and personalise patient care and she has led a number of international and CR UK funded studies, including the international ICON9, OCTOVA and 6MP BRCA trials. She is a member of the GCIG and ENGOT steering groups and is an active contributor to international research.  In addition to her oncological practice, she is has a specialist interest in cancer treatment induced menopause. She is leading the national development of research and services to improve the care of patients with treatment induced menopause following a cancer diagnosis and for those who have a hereditary risk of developing cancer, and is the founder of the MENO.pause clinical decision support App: https://www.menopause-app.com/
