As a Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust, I dedicate my practice exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of knee conditions. By focusing solely on the knee, I am able to offer patients specialist assessment and evidence-based treatment for both common and complex problems affecting the joint. Patients commonly consult me for knee pain, sports injuries, ligament tears, meniscal injuries, cartilage damage, kneecap instability and knee arthritis. I also see many patients who are seeking a second opinion or who continue to experience symptoms following previous treatment or surgery. My philosophy is straightforward: every patient deserves a clear diagnosis, an honest discussion about the available treatment options and a management plan tailored to their individual goals. Although surgery is an important part of my practice, it is recommended only when it offers the best opportunity to improve symptoms, function and quality of life. Whenever possible, I aim to preserve the natural knee. Non-operative treatments, including physiotherapy, activity modification, lifestyle advice and injection therapy, are often highly effective and form an important part of patient care. Where surgery is appropriate, I perform a broad range of advanced knee preservation procedures, including meniscal repair and reconstruction, cartilage restoration, osteochondral allograft transplantation, corrective osteotomy and complex ligament reconstruction. Alongside knee preservation, I have extensive experience managing sports-related knee injuries, including ACL, PCL, MCL and posterolateral corner injuries, as well as revision ligament surgery. For patients with advanced osteoarthritis, I provide robotic-assisted partial and total knee replacement using modern surgical technology to optimise precision and restore function. My aim is to ensure that every patient understands their condition and feels confident in the decisions they make. Whether the objective is returning to competitive sport, remaining active at work or reducing pain in everyday life, treatment is individualised to help achieve the best possible outcome.
