This information is provided by Mr Sean Masterson.
I have been practising as a consultant at Queens hospital since 2012 and specialise in Hip and Knee conditions. I commenced training at selected units in the south of England having taken up a prestigious training opportunity with the Royal Air Force, developing an interest in trauma and reconstructive techniques, which culminated in an extensive period of training including the world renowned the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Further specialist training occurred in The Royal London and St Barts, and then culminated in a specialised Hip and Knee Reconstruction Fellowship at Oxford, internationally recognised for finessing all techniques of hip and knee preservation and reconstructive replacement surgery. I have maintained and further developed my expertise with visits to multiple national and international centres to gain further experience in some of the latest developing techniques for hip and knee techniques. I have enjoyed multiple international RAF military service stints in addition to my NHS service. I have attained higher management positions including Divisional Director of Surgery, learning and putting into practice many useful and innovative processes and techniques. I specialise in revision and total hip replacement surgery, knee arthroscopy, unicondylar partial and total knee replacement, personalised knee replacement surgery, ACL ligament reconstruction and knee cartilage issues.
