Dr Satyen Gohil

Dr. Satyen Gohil is a highly skilled haematologist dedicated to the treatment of patients suffering from Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL) and all types of Lymphoma. Dr. Gohil's commitment to advancing knowledge and treatment in his field is underscored by his membership of multiple NCRI subgroups. His expertise extends to leading various clinical trials focused on these conditions. Dr. Gohil also plays a pivotal role as a key member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) for Haemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), offering expert advice in the national HLH MDT setting. Additionally, he leads the UCLH Histiocytosis clinic, where he provides care to individuals with rare histiocytic disorders, including Langerhans cell histiocytosis and Erdheim-Chester disease. Dr. Gohil completed a PhD in Haematology at UCL, focusing on the development of novel immune therapies for cancer, during the years 2013 to 2017. Prior to this, he pursued his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at King's College London from 2000 to 2006. Furthermore, Dr. Gohil's dedication to research led him to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, USA, where he spent two years conducting translational research. His work revolved around studying the tumour microenvironment, clonal evolution, and responses to CAR-T cell therapy in lymphoproliferative disorders.
