Introduction Miss Sarita Vamadeva is a UK qualified Board-certified Plastic Surgeon. She is one of a very small group of female plastic surgeons in the UK. She went on to study medicine at Imperial College London and during her medical degree also completed an additional science degree in Human Physiology. Sarita completed her plastic surgical training in London and undertook additional fellowships in Microsurgery (breast reconstruction, abdominal wall reconstruction and head/neck reconstruction) at Imperial College London and Limb Reconstruction at the Royal London Hospital. Sarita also spent time enhancing her plastic surgery skills in New York (Sloan Kettering Cancer Center), Sydney, India and New Zealand. Research & Mentoring Sarita has a keen interest in research and education; she has a MSc in Tissue Engineering and has over 30 publications and international presentations. She is a Director of Undergraduate Education at Brunel Medical School and a Royal College of Surgeons Tutor for Plastic Surgery at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. Sarita does regular voluntary work for charities encouraging women into STEM subjects.
