Dr Sarita Depani

Dr Sarita Depani joined Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in January 2022 as a Consultant Paediatric Oncologist. Prior to this she spent just over a year working as a Consultant Paediatric Oncologist at University Hospital Southampton and 5 months as locum Consultant at GOSH. Dr Depani completed her speciality training in paediatric oncology at GOSH, the Royal Marsden Hospital and University College London Hospital. She spent two years as a Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Fellow working between GOSH and the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit at the University of Birmingham. She worked on a number of early and late phase studies, submitted two successful CRUK grant applications for ESMART and AGCT1531 and worked as a drug development fellow at GOSH looking after patients enrolled on commercial and academic Phase I/II studies. Dr Depani specialises in paediatric neuro-oncology (tumours of the brain and spine) and paediatric germ-cell tumours. She is a member of the UK Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia (CCLG) Neuro-oncology special interest group, CCLG Germ Cell tumour National Advisory Panel and Malignant Germ Cell International Consortium (MaGIC). Dr Depani says: ‘I aim to provide the very best care for my patients by liaising with national and international experts to ensure the most up-to-date and comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plan. I take pride in building excellent relationships with my patients and their families.’
