Ms Sarah Wali

Dr Sarah Wali is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with broad expertise in women’s health, gynaecological surgery and diagnostic care. She is committed to providing clear, thoughtful and patient-centred care, with an emphasis on helping women understand their symptoms, investigations and treatment options. Her clinical interests include abnormal and heavy bleeding, fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, pelvic pain, menopause-related gynaecological problems, ovarian cysts, cervical abnormalities, vulval conditions and early pregnancy concerns. She also has extensive experience in colposcopy, outpatient hysteroscopy, gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound, and one-stop assessment of general gynaecological symptoms and suspected cancer referrals. Dr Wali has specialist expertise in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. She completed a two-year fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and has undertaken advanced laparoscopic training in the UK and internationally. She holds GESEA Level 2 certification from the European Gynaecological Endoscopy Academy and a diploma from the Centre International de Chirurgie Endoscopique (CICE) in France. Her surgical practice includes both minimally invasive and open procedures for benign gynaecological conditions and selected early-stage malignancies. She holds a substantive Consultant post at Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust, where she is also Deputy Lead for Colposcopy. She has a strong interest in improving the quality and efficiency of women’s healthcare and has led service development, clinical audits, guideline development and redesign of patient pathways. Dr Wali trained at King’s College London, graduating with an MBBS and a First Class Honours BSc in Physiology. She also holds a Master’s degree in Medical Ethics and Law from the Dickson Poon School of Law and postgraduate memberships of both the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Alongside her clinical work, she is actively involved in education and surgical training. She previously served as the London trainee representative for the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy and has contributed to national laparoscopic training and Royal College educational resources. Dr Wali has published peer-reviewed research in obstetrics and gynaecology and has a particular interest in clinical governance and medicolegal practice. She is fluent in Arabic and proficient in French, and values providing culturally sensitive, individualised care to women from a wide range of backgrounds.
