Mr Sanjay Asopa

I graduated from Bangalore University in 2000. I completed my basic surgical rotation at Sheffield in 2003 and became the member of RCS Edinburgh in 2003 after successfully completing my exam. I then trained at Southampton General Hospital from 2003 to 2008 and completed my PhD with the University of Southampton in 2010. I then had exposure to all forms of adult cardiac surgery at James Cook University Hospital at Middlesbrough for 3 years. I got into the national training program in 2011 and completed my training in adult cardiothoracic surgery at Plymouth and Bristol in 2017. I completed my exit exam and was awarded my FRCS CTh in May 2016. I travelled to London Ontario for a fellowship in all forms of adult cardiac surgery including minimal access cardiac surgery, major aortic surgery and transplantation for a year.  I have been working as a Consultant at University Hospital Plymouth NHS trust from July 2018.
