Dr Salman Ghani

Dr Salman Ghani –  Respiratory Consultant and has worked across the UHB Trust since 2005 - mainly working at Solihull Hospital and Heartlands Hospital, more recently since COVID, Dr Ghani has also been working at Good Hope Hospital. He is deputy lead lung cancer physician in UHB. He is chair of interstitial lung disease MDT.  He has a passion for integrated health care in Respiratory. Dr Ghani is a core member of the Birmingham Respiratory Clinical Network and actively plays an important role in helping put together the local PAN-Birmingham COPD & Asthma Guidelines. As a result of a successful integrated approach to care the team the award was given (BTS ) for innovation in respiratory care by IMPRESS, a joint initiative between the British Thoracic Society and General Practice Airways Group, aimed at improving and integrating respiratory services. He also received Staff Recognition Heart of England charity Community Award for developing respiratory community services.
