Mr Sajid Shariff

Mr Shariff qualified from Charing Cross Medical School and completed general orthopaedic training on the NW Thames rotation and fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at RNOH, Stanmore with DIshan Singh, President of BOFAS and at Clinique de L’Union, Toulouse with Jean Alain Colombier , President of IFAS. He was appointed in 2009 at Medway NHS Trust as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with specialist interest in foot and ankle surgery and receives tertiary referrals of complex problems from other local trusts. He is a GMC recognised trainer and 4 of his trainees have become consultant foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeons. He is a member of the court of examiners of the Royal College of Surgeons in England and is a faculty member of Medway and Kings FRCS (Orth) training courses. He regularly publishes research including a clinical test for the spring ligament and involvement of the spring ligament failure in adult acquired flatfoot deformity. He works with a multi-disciplinary team able to offer a comprehensive range of conservative and surgical treatment options for foot and ankle problems. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his children.
