Completed higher surgical training leading to award of CCT from Leicester. Awarded Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from University of Leicester. Completed Fellowship in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and pelvic floor surgery. Appointed Consultant Surgeon in January 2010. I have set up laparoscopic colorectal surgery Service at Stepping Hill Hospital. I designed and implemented the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program at Stepping Hill Hospital. I am actively and regularly involved with the Gynaecologists with Endometriosis surgery within an MDT set up. I undertake Pelvic floor surgery within a regional Pelvic floor MDT. I have recently commenced training in Robotic surgery and soon hope to undertake Robotic colorectal resections. I also perform routine laparoscopic procedures like Cholecystectomies and Hernia repairs. I am now the Clinical Director for the Greater Manchester Colorectal Pathway Board and have developed the Best Timed Colorectal Pathway for Greater Manchester region. I am now directing a project to implement the Straight to Test Pathways in all Trusts in the GM region.
