I am a consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon who enjoys her work immensely. I have had an extensive training in Hand Surgery on top of my basic training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. I also hold a British Diploma in Hand Surgery. I have been lucky to be awarded prestigious Fellowships senior training roles in the world famous Pulvertaft Hand Unit in Derby, The Birmingham Hand Centre specialising in military trauma, Queen Victoria Hospital in East in Grinstead home of the Guinea Pig club and the birthplace of Plastic Surgery in the UK, and University College Hospital a young dynamic developing hand surgery unit. I was fortunate enough to complete my training in the South East Thames Orthopaedic Programme which included hospitals such as Guys and St Thomas', Kings College Hospital and the Conquest Hospital in Hastings. I am very proud of my roles as a research Fellow at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore working with Professor Tim Briggs and being a demonstrator with Professor Harold Ellis in the Guys Anatomy department. My practice in the West Midlands is based in Cannock Chase Hospital, New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton and The BMI Priory and Edgbaston Hospital’s and BMI Droitwich Spa and Spire Parkway Hospital. I have helped establish a wide awake regional anaesthesia service for Hand Surgery to improve patient turnaround and experience in Cannock Chase Hospital. I am also involved in the development of a Virtual Suturing Course ( currently just for Junior doctors). I am also developing a same day Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Service for injections and diagnosis.
