Ms Roopa Renuka Bangari

Miss Roopa Bangari is a Consultant Gynaecologist and has wide experience in General Gynaecology and Gynaecological cancer mainly Cervical and Uterine cancers. She is a BSCCP (British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology) approved Colposcopist since 2012. Ms Bangari was awarded Membership of Royal college of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists in 2012. Miss Bangari completed her medical graduation and postgraduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University of Mysore, India in 1999. She has been working in the NHS since 2007. She was trained in various Hospitals at Southeast London, mainly University Hospital Lewisham, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich and Kings College Hospital, London. She has over 20 years of experience in Gynaecology. Miss Bangari is based at Medway Maritime Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since 2020. Prior to this, she has been a consultant at Lewisham and Greenwich Trust. She is the Lead for Clinical Governance at Medway Maritime Hospital. She is also the Lead for Women’s Health Undergraduate teaching for both Kings College London (KCL) and KMMS (Kent and Medway Medical School).. Miss Bangari has received Clinical Excellence award from her NHS Trust for her dedicated service. She has also received various commendation letters from the Dean of Kings College London for her teaching excellence. She has published articles and presented in various regional, national and international conferences. Miss Bangari is an approved health care provider for leading UK medical insurance companies. She sees both self-pay and insurance patients.

Ms Bangari specialises in menstrual problems and does hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsies.She also specialises in fibroid management and does open myomectomy and hysterectomies.As a member of BSCCP she is an expert in management of abnormal smears, colposcopies and treatment for abnormal smears like Loop excisions(LLETZ). Her other interests are endometriosis, polycystic ovaries, menopause, pelvic pain and adolescent Gynaecology. She also offers Laparoscopy for treatment of ovarian cysts and endometriosis. Ms Bangari is a general gynaecologist with a holistic approach to care. She believes in women empowerment and always consider women’s wishes and wellbeing. She offers both surgical and non-surgical options
