He trained in both the UK (Bristol) and North America (Vancouver) perfecting joint replacement surgery - specialising in both hip and knee joint replacement surgery. He is the only surgeon in Bristol who specialises in the revision of BOTH hip and knee replacements (when they go wrong), He is a high volume joint replacement surgeon performing over 400 joint replacements a year, significantly more than the national average for both hip and knee replacements. Mr Baker works as a team with his anaesthetist Dr Steve Tolchard in both the NHS and private sector. In more than a decade of practising together they have performed in excess of 4000 joint replacements. Together they provided expert care pre, intra and post-operatively.
