Mr Raza Moosvi

I am Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon, mainly based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, part of Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. I am the Clinical lead for colorectal surgery. My main elective work involves a high volume of complex colorectal cancer surgery, mostly performed by minimally invasive surgery. I qualified from University College Medical School in 1998. I had extensive basic and higher surgical training in the South thames region. I successfully undertook a Master's degree in Surgical Science at UCL, obtaining a distinction. I subsequently spent 7 years in formal higher surgical training in the East of England, including four years at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, a busy tertiary surgical unit. During the latter part of my training here, I also gained a postgraduate diploma in Coloproctology from the University of East Anglia. After completing surgical training I completed two Fellowships at St Mark's Hospital and at St Thomas' Hospital (Joint London Colorectal Fellowship). These posts provided me with invaluable experience in specialist colorectal and general surgical practice in two world renowned tertiary units.
