Dr Ratnasingam Nithiyananthan

I graduated in medicine at the University of Leeds and following my initial training in Leeds General Infirmary I became a specialist registrar in Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus in the West Midland Deanery. I then started my research work shortly after in Immunogenetics of thyroid disease that lead to a PhD in medicine at the University of Birmingham. I was then appointed lecturer and then acted up as a senior lecturer before becoming a Consultant Physician in Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus at the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.

I am a Consultant Physician in Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus for more than 20 years with special interest in diabetes and its complications, thyroid, PCOS and all other hormonal disorders. Academically I have published in recognised journals like Nature, The Lancet as well as many peer reviewed journals
