Mr Rami Atalla

Mr. Rami Atalla is a senior consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at East and North Hertfordshire NHS trust since 1999. He is the lead for the recurrent miscarriages and the Urogynaecology services. He received several tertiary referrals for complicated managements in the field of urogynaecology and incontinence. He specialises in pelvic floor and vaginal surgeries including incontinence and prolapses as well as general gynaecological operations.  After graduation, he had a wide range of experience in large teaching Hospital such as Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, Birmingham Maternity Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary. He was appointed as a Lecturer at Leicester University before joining the East and North Hertfordshire NHS trust. He performed a large number of researches in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has a large number of publications in major scientific journals as well as chapters in postgraduate medical books. His Recurrent Miscarriages clinic gained a national reputation with referrals from beyond our catchment area. He is popular and highly regarded by his patients and he has been nominated by his patients and awarded as an “NHS Hero”.  He is married with 2 children, Sarah and George.
