Ms Rakhee Nayar

Miss Rakhee Nayar  is a highly skilled  consultant plastic surgeon  with a specialisation in  Mohs surgery,  located in the North West of England. With a broad spectrum of expertise, she is renowned for her proficiency in  Mohs microsurgery ,  skin cancer treatment, facial reconstruction, addressing skin lesions , and  tackling skin cancer , particularly on the face, including  basal cell carcinoma .   Miss Nayar commenced her medical studies at the University of Liverpool, graduating with an MBChB with Honors in 2004. She chose to undertake further studies due to her interest in cancer, obtaining an MD from the School of Cancer Studies at the same university in 2015. Furthermore, she was awarded an MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008.   In addition to her clinical roles, Miss Nayar is actively engaged in teaching and research. She serves as a teacher and trainer for junior doctors and surgeons within the NHS. Her contributions to the academic community extend beyond her teaching roles, as she has been widely published and presented her research at both national and international levels.   Furthermore, Miss Nayar is actively involved in public organisations, holding the position of National Chairwoman for Mohs training within the Trainee Interface Group (TIG). She is also a proud member of esteemed organisations such as the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).

Additionally she has completed a highly regarded post qualification fellowship of 12 months within Orthoplastic Hand surgery , achieving the European Hand Diploma accreditation making her on of the only dual trained Mohs surgeons in the UK to perform Mohs surgeries not only on the face but also on hand and upper limb tumours which can often serve to preserve functionality. Other areas of interest include scar revisions post surgery or piercings and scar treatments with injectables.
