GMC reg: 5187211Mr Rakesh Choudhary underwent basic surgical training in Yorkshire and completed registrars’ training in trauma and orthopaedics in Wessex and South Wales. He also completed a master’s degree in orthopaedics at Liverpool University and completed his fellowship in hip and knee surgery at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. Mr Choudhary possesses in depth knowledge of the enhanced recovery programme for hip and knee replacements. He is a peer reviewer for the hip and knee research papers for the Bone and Joint Journal (British JBJS) which helps him to remain updated regarding recent developments in his specialty. He is an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor.

Hip replacement - As a hip surgeon he performs uncemented, cemented, hybrid and ceramic total hip replacements with excellent patient satisfaction and clinical results. Mr Rakesh Choudhary, hip replacement surgeon, works at the New Hall hospital in Salisbury and the Cherwell Hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Knee replacement, Knee Joint Replacement Knee Surgery, Partial knee Replacement - Knee surgeon He aims at maintaining/correcting alignment and preserving native Knee joint bone as much as possible. He routinely performs kneecap replacement/resurfacing to reduce the risk of knee pain after replacement surgery. He performs patient-specific knee replacements in special cases. Mr Rakesh Choudhary performs a knee replacement procedure at the New Hall hospital in Salisbury and the Cherwell Hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Trochanteric bursitis/gluteal tendon tear procedures - for intractable pain not responding to injections. He has an interest in these procedures which he undertakes only after careful consideration. Knee arthroscopy - He performs routine knee key-hole surgery for common knee joint conditions. Regenerative treatment - Hip joint , knee joint He has keen interest in treatment of osteoarthritis of joints and tendon conditions using patients own growth factors, regenerative cells and microfragmented adipose tissue (heterogenous mesenchymal cells). The treatment available include platelet rich plasma, Autologous Protein Solution NStride and where appropriate microfragmented fat cells (Adult Msenchymal Cells).
