Qualifications:  1993     MBBS Calicut University, India 2001       DA (Diploma in Anaesthesia), MG University, India. 2002     MD in Anaesthesia, MG University, India 2003     DNB Anaesthesia, National Board of Examinations, India  2008     FCARCSI, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland 2012     FFPMRCA, Faculty of Pain Medicine, London Previous and other appointments:  ·        Currently working as a consultant in anaesthesia and pain medicine at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust since July 2012 and in Spire Elland Hospital ·       Advanced training in chronic pain medicine-Leeds Teaching Hospitals and Bradford Teaching Hospitals-2011 CHRONIC PAIN EXPERIENCE ·       I have been working as a Consultant in Chronic Pain and Anaesthesia at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust for the past 13 years. ·       I have formal accreditation in chronic pain and acupuncture ·       I believe in the holistic treatment of pain in the form of acupuncture, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, occupational therapy and pain management programmes. ·       I have basic level training in acupuncture (British Acupuncture Society) and conduct acupuncture sessions. ·       I have worked closely with other specialities like palliative care, neurosurgery, gynaecology, surgery, orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal team in managing patients with chronic pain.  ·       My patient feedback is exemplary, and I have patients seeking out my clinics based on word-of-mouth recommendations.  Additional Trust role; I am the pain lead for chronic pain at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust This has led me to develop guidelines for Primary Care (Kirklees and Greater Huddersfield) as well as Secondary care (Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust), in keeping with the latest developments (new NICE guidance) in the field of ·       Neuropathic Pain Management  ·       Opioids in Pain Management  ·       Opioids tapering guidelines.  National role: I am a panel member for the National Health Resource Group on coding set up by the Faculty of Pain Medicine.The focus of the group is on analysing and improving coding procedures for chronic pain. I am the Associate member of General Medical Council( GMC) and an examiner for Professional Linguistic Assessment Board(PLAB) exams conducted by the GMC.
