Dr Rajdeep Khattar

Dr Raj Khattar has over twenty years of experience as a Consultant Cardiologist, and his NHS practice is based at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. He performed his specialist training in cardiology in the London Deanery and gained particular expertise in advanced echocardiography and percutaneous coronary intervention. He has a major interest in chest pain management, hypertension, heart failure and valve disease. He has extensive experience in stress and contrast echocardiography, trans-oesophageal echocardiography, 3-D echocardiography, coronary angioplasty and stent implantation. He has a Doctorate in Medicine and over 120 publications in a broad range of cardiological conditions. With his vast experience and expertise, he has earned Fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the European Society of Cardiology. He is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer with The National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College, London. Outside interests include tennis, golf and music.

My particular clinical interests include the management of chest pain and shortness of breath, high blood pressure, heart failure and valve disease. I have high level technical expertise in advanced echocardiographic (cardiac ultrasound) procedures.
