Miss Rachna Murthy

Miss Rachna Murthy is a multi-award winning London and Cambridge-based Consultant Ophthalmologist, Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. She trained at Imperial College of Science,Technology and Medicine, St Mary’s London. Prior to her decade of consultant experience, her post-residency fellowship training was at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Craniofacial Unit at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, both in London as well as the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, in Melbourne, Australia. Before entering full time private practice, she ran the Cambridge University Hospitals Thyroid Eye Disease Service providing quaternary oculoplastic care for the East of England region. Her service has been internationally recognised and she enjoys faculty status at numerous international meetings. As the lead periocular skin cancer clinician for Ipswich, she has also helped to pioneer innovative surgical approaches resulting in reduced patient attendance and cancer recurrence with improved cosmetic outcomes. She is a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgical Society, American & the European Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and sits on the board of the Royal Society of Medicine’s Ophthalmology section. Miss Murthy is amongst a handful of surgeons invited to be a member of the American,European & British Oculoplastic Surgery Societies.She is also an experienced surgical trainer not just in the NHS and for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists but also in the private sector where her academic safety work with dermal fillers and technical skills has led to her appointment as faculty of the globally renowned Allergan Medical Institute. AESTHETIC EXPERTISE Miss Murthy is also a multi award winning medical aesthetic expert practitioner with a special interest in restorative and regenerative treatments with an emphasis on natural results. Her person centred approach to aesthetic treatments, and core values of safety, care, and excellence have led to her non surgical aesthetic services and techniques being amongst the most sought after in the UK KEY OPINION LEADER Miss Murthy regularly sits on the Faculty for a range of UK and International Aesthetic, Ophthalmic and Surgical Conferences.
