Professor Simon Woldman

Professor Woldman is the Director of Barts Heart Centre. He has special interest in heart failure and the management of endocarditis. He qualified from University of Glasgow in 1989 with commendation. After working as a consultant for several years at The Ayr Hospital, he moved to London in 2006 as part of the University College London Hospitals NHS Trust (Heart Hospital) cardiology team. He led the heart failure team here. Dr Woldman joined the Barts Cardiology team in 2015 when  the merger occurred of the teams from UCLH (Heart Hospital), London Chest and St Bartholomew's Hospital occurred. Barts Heart Centre is the largest cardiology and cardiac surgery centre on a single site in Europe. Dr Woldman became Director in 2019.
