Professor Prof Siwan Thomas Gibson

Prof Siwan Thomas-Gibson is a gastroenterologist and specialist endoscopist at St Mark's Hospital London and at the London Clinic. She is Deputy Director of Bowel Cancer Screening and was Dean of the Academic Institute at St Mark’s Hospital London until 2022. She is a Professor of Practice (Gastrointestinal Endoscopy) at Imperial College London and  was Chair of the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy until 2019. She is currently Clinical Lead for Endoscopy at the London Clinic and chair of Gastroenterology at her NHS base at St Mark's Hospital in London.  Her clinical and research interests include improving quality and safety of colonoscopy; improving endoscopic training and assessment; the endoscopic management of early colorectal neoplasia in screening and inflammatory bowel disease. She is frequently faculty on national and international meetings, performing and teaching live endoscopy. She has over 100 publications as well as authorship in several books.
