Professor Prof Jonathan Ledermann

Jonathan Ledermann, BSc MD, FRCP FMedSci, is a Professor of Medical Oncology and Clinical Director at UCL Cancer Institute, University College London, and a Consultant Medical Oncologist at UCL Hospital, London, UK, where he has worked as a consultant since 1990. He also works at Leaders in Oncology, 95-97 Harley Street, London. He specialises in the treatment of gynaecological cancers and has led several national and international trials in ovarian cancer. He was Director of the Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre for more than 22 years,  responsible for the conduct of a large portfolio of national and international academic cancer trials. He is a Senior Investigator for the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) and a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. He is the Editor for ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology) Gynaecological Cancer Practice Guidelines. He has been Vice President of ESGO (European Society of Gynaecological Oncology) and Past-Chair of the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Gynaecological Cancer Studies Group, council member of the British Gynaecological Cancer Society and past chair of the Rare Tumour Group of the GCIG (Gynaecological Cancer InterGroup). He has published widely in the areas of clinical trials , experimental therapeutics, guidelines and education in gynaecological malignancies.
