GMC reg: 4644073I am Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Oxford. I studied medicine as an undergraduate at Trinity College, Cambridge, where I was a Junior and Senior Scholar, and graduated with a first class degree. I then moved to Christ Church, Oxford to study clinical medicine at the Oxford University Clinical School. Following graduation, I undertook basic surgical training in London, before returning to the Oxford Plastic Surgery Department in 2003. My clinical interests are in the fields of hand surgery, and supermicrosurgery for the treatment of lymphoedema. I have undertaken Fellowship training in Supermicrosurgery for Lymphoedema at the University of Tokyo, Japan, under the guidance of Professor Isao Koshima and Dr Makoto Mihara pioneers of supermicrosurgery for lymphoedema. Here, I was trained by these experts in the assessment, investigation, and surgical management of lymphoedema. I am a full member of the British Lymphology Society. I am also a very active Surgeon Scientist at Oxford University. I have written many papers for academic journals, presented work and lectured at both international and national conferences, and have written several book chapters.
