GMC reg: 6071957Professor Marc Dweck is the Chair of Clinical Cardiology and Consultant Cardiologist at the University of Edinburgh and the Edinburgh Heart Centre. He trained in Edinburgh and London before performing fellowships at Cedars Sinai Hospital, Los Angeles and Mount Sinai Hospital New York. He has published more than 370 scIentific manuscripts in the worlds leading medical and cardiology journal and has received numerous national and international prizes. He regularly contributes to international guidelines and consensus documents. He is Vice President Elect the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), Chair of EACVI Accreditation for Computed Tomography and serves on the Editorial Boards of Heart, EHJ Cardiovascular Imaging, Circulation Cardiovascular Imaging, the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology and Circulation. Clinically Professor Dweck welcomes adult patients with cardiology problems and specialises in multimodality cardiovascular imaging (echocardiography, CT, MRI) and cardiac device implantation (pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronisation therapy)
Cardiology - General Cardiology
I welcome patients with all forms of general cardiology symptoms (e.g. chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, syncope) or problems (coronary artery disease, valve disease, heart failure, heart rhythm problems etc). I am also interested in discussing preventative strategies with patients.
