Professor Mahmut Dogramaci is a dedicated academic and esteemed medical expert celebrated for his significant contributions to ophthalmology, spanning research, innovation, and clinical excellence. Professor Dogramaci's illustrious journey in the field has been marked by comprehensive training both in the UK and Turkey, leading to his esteemed recognition on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC) since 2009. He further honed his expertise through fellowships in medical and surgical retina at renowned institutions like Gloucestershire and St Thomas's Hospital in London, esteemed for their excellence in vitreoretinal surgery. In his role as a consultant ophthalmologist, Professor Dogramaci brings a wealth of experience in managing diverse surgical and medical retina pathologies. His expertise includes Macular hole surgery, lamellar hole surgery, retinal detachments, post-cataract surgery complications, secondary lens implantations, vitreous hemorrhages, epiretinal membranes, and treatments for diabetic retinopathy, such as intravitreal anti-VEGF therapy. Professor Dogramaci's dedication to advancing eye care is evident through his remarkable achievements, including over 8000 cataract surgeries and 2500 vitreoretinal procedures, showcasing his extensive consultant-level experience and thriving private practice spanning eight years.
