Professor Dr Neil Shah

I was a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for over 18 years and Professor. I also have worked at St. Thomas' Hospital as a gastrointestinal allergy specialist. I have over 20 years in paediatric gastroenterology and have a wide range of experience in most paediatric gastroenterology conditions. I am involved in the development of national and international guidelines for the identification and treatment of reflux, milk and GI food allergy. I face these at home and at work on a daily basis. I have published over a hundred articles including many articles related to milk allergy, abdominal pain, and constipation and lead a research study group on GI food allergy called the Burden project. My international work other than food allergy has included running a national service for infants with severe inflammatory bowel disease that require curative bone marrow transplants in some of the sickest children from all over the world.
