Mr Professor Andrew Goldberg

Andy Goldberg is a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon in London, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle pain in both adults and children. He has particular expertise in ankle arthritis, ankle replacement surgery, sports injuries, ankle sprains, Achilles tendon disorders, bunions, and complex foot and ankle reconstruction . He offers both surgical and non-surgical treatments , including minimally invasive techniques where appropriate. Mr Goldberg qualified from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School (Imperial College London) in 1994 and completed his specialist orthopaedic training on the North East Thames rotation , followed by a prestigious fellowship in complex foot and ankle surgery at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford . He also undertook an international travelling fellowship, visiting 15 leading centres across the United States and Europe . He is an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London (UCL) and a Visiting Professor in Orthopaedics at Imperial College London , reflecting his longstanding commitment to education and research. He was previously an Honorary Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore , one of the UK’s leading specialist centres. Mr Goldberg is actively involved in research and is a Chief Investigator or Co-Investigator on multiple NIHR-funded studies , with a strong focus on improving outcomes in foot and ankle surgery. He has published extensively and is the author of several textbooks, including Surgical Talk and the Atlas of Ankle Replacements . He serves on the National Joint Registry Editorial Board and Medical Advisory Board and contributes to the Outcomes Committee of the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS) . He is also an International Editor for Foot & Ankle International . He is recognised as one of the UK’s leading foot and ankle specialists and is one of the only UK specialists to be included in both the Tatler Address Book (Good Doctors Guide) and Spears Best Private Doctors in London .
