Professor Prof Nihal Gurusinghe

I trained in London at The Atkinson Morley's Hospital, The National Hospital for Nervous Diseases and Great Ormond Street Hospital. I was appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in 1985. Aside from my extensive clinic experience, I am also closely involved in the activities of the British Neurological Surgeons and served as honorary secretary from 2000 to 2004. I am a member of the council of the society and am the NICE co-ordinator for the society. I am also the joint Royal College Representative on the Specialist Advisory Committee in Neurosurgery for surgical training at The Royal College of Surgeons, London. I am an examiner for the FRCS neurosurgery in the UK as well as the international FRCS.
