Consultant Cardiologist, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Professor of Cardiology, National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. Director of the National Institute for Health Research Cardiovascular Health Informatics Collaborative. Specialist areas are Hypertension and the Heart, Cardiac Screening, Chest Pain Assessment and the Athlete’s Heart.

Professor Mayet’s clinical interests are in the assessment of high blood pressure and the heart and detection of cardiovascular disease. He specialises in assessing chest pain, palpitations and shortness of breath. He has longstanding clinical interests in assessing the heart in pregnancy and in elite athletes.
