Dr Paul Ross

Paul Ross is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London.  He specialises in the treatment of Gastro-intestinal malignancies focussing on colorectal cancer and hepatic, pancreatic and biliary (HPB) cancers.  He was a member of the National Cancer Research Institute Upper GI Cancers Clinical Studies group and its hepato-biliary sub-group.  He was a member of the adjuvant and advanced disease sub-group of the Colorectal Cancer Clinical Studies group. He is research lead for colorectal cancer for the South London Comprehensive Research Network.  He is lead for King's College Hospital Hepatocellular Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team. His research interests are focussed around systemic therapies for Gastro-intestinal Cancers, pharmacogenomics and clinical trials.  He is widely published and regularly presents at meetings. Paul is Chief Investigator of the CAPITAL trial in metastatic colorectal cancer and a number of other trials in the fields of pancreatic and primary liver cancers.  He is on the trial management group for a number of trials in colorectal and HPB malignancies.  Furthermore, he is a member of Independent Data monitoring committees for a number of studies. Paul trained in Medical Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research where he was a Cancer Research Campaign Clinical Fellow.  His Research was acknowledged by the award of the McElwain prize from the Association of Cancer Physicians and a Merit award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology.  He is widely published in peer reviewed journals and has given presentations to both national and international meetings
